Rajasthan Monsoon Gains Momentum as Bharatpur Records Up to 170 mm Rain in 24 Hours

Rajasthan witnessed a fresh surge in monsoon activity after 15 days as the Water Resources Department released the latest 24-hour rainfall data. Bharatpur recorded up to 170 mm of rain, while several other locations reported extremely heavy and heavy rainfall.

 

Jaipur: The monsoon regained momentum across Rajasthan, with the state witnessing a significant spell of rainfall after 15 days. The Water Resources Department has released the rainfall figures for the past 24 hours, showing that several locations recorded extremely heavy rainfall for the first time in August.

According to the data issued by the Water Resources Department, four locations in Bharatpur district recorded extremely heavy rainfall. Rudawal received 170 mm of rain, followed by Rupwas with 132 mm and Bharatpur city with 120 mm. In Deeg district, Kumher recorded 141 mm of rainfall, while Sikri received 133 mm.

The department's figures also showed that Govindgarh in Alwar district recorded 125 mm of rainfall. In addition, heavy rainfall was recorded at six other locations.

The latest rainfall figures indicate a renewed surge in monsoon activity across parts of Rajasthan, with several areas experiencing extremely heavy rainfall during the past 24 hours.
